I am interested in the water quality of the Nile River in Africa, that flows from Central Africa to Egypt's Nile Delta. The Nile is the longest river in the world, and it has helped sustain life since ancient times. The Nile river suffers from large amounts of waste from industrial sites along the river. The harmful pollutants from the industrial waste are diluted, and the water still qualifies as a being drinkable water. Some bacterias and viruses have been detected in the water in certain locations in amounts that are danger according to the World Health Organization. The water quality of the Nile is a health and social determinant of the societies directly connected to it.
